Mowic is a Swedish company situated in Stockholm. It was established in the beginning of 1999 and delivers wireless mobile data communication as well as system and components for GPS-positioning. Their Mobitex network covers Stockholm, Göteborg and Malmö and is to be expanded to also cover the highways in between. The system operates on the 450 MHz frequency bands is mainly used for public transport, telemetry, taxi dispatch and public safety.
