
Different territory - different frequencies
All Mobitex networks operate in one of four frequency families: 80 MHz, 400
MHz, 800 MHz, or 900 MHz. Frequencies and channels are generally assigned by
a national government authority
Each local operator can tell you the specific channel assignments for its country.

The 400 Mhz frequency band
These UHF-based networks use channels that generally fall between 415
MHz and 430 MHz.

Mobitex originally operated at very low frequencies. Two of the original
networks, owned by » Multicom
Security in Sweden and by » Sonera
in Finland, still operate in these bands - Sweden at 80 MHz and Finland at 160
MHz .
