Sightseeing tours
As Beijing is a historically rich and culturally very fascinating city, there is obviously much to see and do - and we would like our participants to be able to experience as much as possible during their visit. We will be arranging an initial guided tour of Beijing city on the Sunday afternoon, which will hopefully not only serve as a taster of what's to come but also help those unfamiliar with Beijing to get their bearings. We'll visit the Forbidden City, once the Imperial palace,
followed by a little tour of the Silk Alley Market where you can find fashion and technology as well as put your bartering skills to the test with the local sales people offering fine silk, pearls and handicrafts.
On the Wednesday, a full day is committed to visiting two of the great Chinese landmarks of the region; the Great Wall and the Summer Palace. Both these attractions are immensely popular and there will be many opportunities to take photographs and buy souvenirs and gifts.
For those who would like to further explore Beijing city, the Thursday features a half day event including a visit to the Olympic stadium.

Cocktail party
On the evening of Sunday October 5th, we are arranging an informal pre-conference cocktail party at the Traders Hotel. This will serve as starting point for the conference and is an ideal opportunity to meet and greet the other participants.
More info on location will be provided soon.

Dinners & Entertainment
On the evening of Monday the 6th, we will be hosting the traditional MA gala dinner at a venue which will be revealed upon arrival at the conference.
On the Tuesday night, participants are welcome to an informal dinner followed by a sample of Beijing's buzzing nightlife in the Sanlitun entertainment district.
